• A nasal prong cannula is a lightweight clear plastic tube used for administering oxygen to a patient.
• It has one end forking into two prongs which are placed in the nostrils and from which oxygen flows.
• The other end of the tube is connected to an oxygen supply such as an oxygen concentrator, or a wall connection in a hospital via a flow meter.
